This one's for Andi. She had that crazy dream (when we were about 20 years old) that Bono and I got married. I was flattered. I mean, look at this guy! A Rock and Roll god if ever there was one and I LOVE this version of the song originally sung by Darlene Love. It would eventually become one of her signature songs. In 2010, Rolling Stone magazine ranked her version of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" #1on it's list of The Greatest Rock and Roll Christmas Songs.
Love performed this song on David Letterman's Late Night in 1986 where it became an annual tradition until Letterman's retirement in 2014. Last year, Love was invited to sing her the song on ABC's The View and will appear again on the show this year, airing on December 16th.
